THE BARRIERS

In 2022, nearly 40% of children in Indonesia faced barriers preventing them from completing elementary or middle school, with approximately 4.3 million children and adolescents aged 7–18 still out of school, as reported by the Indonesian Central Statistics Bureau in 2023. These distressing statistics underscore the pressing need for improved access to quality education in the country.

At Breaking The Barriers, we passionately believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream. Our vision is anchored in a future where education is not merely a privilege but a crucial stepping stone to a brighter tomorrow for all.

BREAK THE BARRIERS

Schooling (Kindergarten – High School)

Partnering with PSKD Schools, we ensure smooth placement in appropriate grades, equipping students with uniforms, supplies, transportation, and essential resources for academic success.

English Classes

Through collaborating with Impact Academy, there is access to tailored English classes to each student's level and learning needs, empowering them to confidently express themselves and connect with the world around them.

Aid

We remove roadblocks, not dreams. By providing meals, transportation, and study essentials, we ensure kids can focus on what matters – learning and achieving their full potential. No child should have to choose between studying and basic needs.

Empowerment Classes

In partnership with TCI, we offer transformative empowerment classes, nurturing confidence and inspiring the kids to dream big, regardless of their circumstances.

Private Counseling

Care & Counsel's licensed counselors provide confidential 1-on-1 support, helping the kids process past traumas and navigate their exciting new path.

Internship

TC Space offers a safe haven for the kids to explore vocational opportunities, discover new talents, and develop valuable skills that prepare them for the future.

OUR HISTORY

2022–2023

Breaking the Barriers began as a small program in collaboration with PSKD schools, sponsoring five disadvantaged children to access education and opportunities. Our holistic approach included private counseling, empowerment classes, and vocational training, igniting their entrepreneurial spirit and fostering empowered futures. Witnessing transformations reinforces our commitment to breaking down barriers for every child and reaching more kids.

2023–2024

In 2023, as K.E.D.S. flourished, we recognized the transformative power of education for our five sponsored children. A pivotal moment prompted a partnership with Impact Academy, deepening our commitment and expanding our program to empower eight youth. We celebrated academic progress and witnessed the blossoming aspirations, reinforcing our belief in the transformative power of education and collaboration.
